Milepost 407.6: Mount Pisgah Trailhead - A spur road leads to the end at the trailhead for the hike up Mount Pisgah and accesses the Mountains-to-Sea Trail.

Milepost 411.0: Cradle of Forestry Overlook - Overlook of the Cradle of Forestry where the first American school of forestry operated from 1898 to 1913.
Milepost 415.7: View Cherry Cove - The cove is named for the black cherry trees that grow well in the area. This overlook provides access to the Mountains-to-Sea Trail.

Milepost 418.8: Graveyard Fields - Overlook of Graveyard Fields and trail access to the area.
Milepost 444.0: View Village of Saunook - An overlook over the village, though the village is not visible through the foliage.
Milepost 444.6: The Orchards Overlook - An overlook with a view of orchards below, but foliage prevents much of a view. The Mountains-to-Sea Trail can be accessed from this overlook.
Milepost 445.2: View Mount Lyn Lowry - Overlook with views of the 6,000-foot peak and Woodfin Cascades.
Milepost 446.7: Woodfin Cascades Overlook - Upper Woodfin Cascades is across the road from this overlook and a spur trail next to the waterfall leads to the Mountains-to-Sea Trail.
Milepost 451.2: Waterrock Knob - A spur road leads to the highest visitor center on the parkway provides access to a short trail to the summit of the 6,292-foot peak and the Mountains-to-Sea Trail.
Milepost 455.5: Soco Gap Overlook - There is no view from this overlook near the intersection with US-19, but provides access to the Mountains-to-Sea Trail.

Milepost 468.4: View Oconaluftee River - Oconaluftee River drains part of the Smoky Mountains and runs through Cherokee. However, the river is not easily visible from the overlook. This is the last overlook on the parkway before the southern terminus at Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
