Pacific Ranger District (Olympic)

The Pacific Ranger District in Olympic National Forest comprises forest lands in the western portion of Olympic Peninsula.  The district contains many miles of hiking and multi-use trails, campgrounds, scenic mountain lakes and rivers with numerous cascading waterfalls.  There are two district offices, located in Forks and Quinault.

Colonel Bob Wilderness:


Colonel Bob Wilderness protects an area of temperate rainforest surrounding its namesake peak.


Quinault Area:


The Quinault Area surrounds Lake Quinault and contains numerous hiking trails and waterfalls in the rainforest.
