Willaby Creek Falls (Quinault)

Willaby Creek Falls is a 15-foot waterfall on its namesake in Grays Harbor County, Washington.  The waterfall is located in Olympic National Forest near Lake Quinault.

Warnings: The rocks around waterfalls are very slippery.  It is impossible to get a good view of the waterfall from any point.

Directions:


From Aberdeen, head north on US-101 for 37 miles and turn left onto South Shore Road at Lake Quinault.  Drive 1.3 miles and turn right into the Quinault Rainforest Trailhead.  There is a $5 day-use fee for parking here.

Hike Description:


From the parking area, get on the Rainforest Interpretive Trail (#855) and pass a very large Douglas fir.  In less than 0.1 miles, come to a split and turn left on Quinault Loop Trail (#854) to pass under the road.  The upper section of the waterfall is visible from the trail.


A view of both sections can be seen from the bridge over the creek or scramble down to creek level.
