Merriman Falls (Quinault)

Merriman Falls is a 40-foot waterfall on Merriman Creek, a tributary of Quinault River, in Grays Harbor County, Washington.  The waterfall is located in Olympic National Forest near Lake Quinault.

Directions:


From Aberdeen, head north on US-101 for 37 miles and turn left onto South Shore Road at Lake Quinault.  Drive 6.5 miles and pull off on either side of the road just before the bridge over Merriman Creek.

Hike Description:


The waterfall is visible from the road.  With the water level low, we were able to scramble on the rocks and climb up to the base of the main drop.


The mossy rocks are really beautiful.
