Directions:
From Asheville, head north on I-25 west for about 12 miles to exit 15. Turn right on NC-197 and go 6 miles to Barnardsville and turn right on Dillingham Road. Continue on Dillingham Road for about 5 miles and it will change to gravel as it enters the national forest and becomes FR-74. Follow FR-74 for 4 miles and pull off on the left just before the waterfall.

The waterfall is easily viewable from the road, no hike involved.
You can scramble down to the base, but only the lower portion is visible from here.
