Rochester Ranger District (Green Mountain)

The Rochester Ranger District of Green Mountain National Forest is located central Vermont.  The district contains many opportunities for year round recreation, including skiing in the winter and hiking and camping in the warmer months.  The district is administratively combined with the Middlebury Ranger District with offices in Rochester.  The Long Trail splits the two districts with Rochester Ranger District being to the east of Long Trail.

Texas Falls Recreation Area has a picnic area and nature trail along Hancock Branch.
