The Norwood Ranger District of
Uncompahgre National Forest comprises forest lands in two discontiguous segments. The southern segment is located in the northern San Juan Mountains surrounding Telluride. The northern segment is in the Uncompahgre Plateau surrounding Norwood. The district contains several campgrounds, scenic driving and hundreds of miles of hiking trails.
