Looking Glass Creek Waterfall 2

Looking Glass Creek Waterfall 2, also called Mystery Falls and Little Looking Glass Falls, is a three-section waterfall on Looking Glass Creek in Transylvania County, North Carolina.  The waterfall is located in Pisgah National Forest near Davidson River.

Warnings: The rocks around the waterfalls are very slippery.  The middle section requires a steep climb and wading the creek.  The lower section requires a difficult rock scramble down a wet rock to reach.

Directions:

From Brevard, head east on US-276/US-64 to where they split and turn left to stay on US-276.  Drive north for 8.3 miles to a pull off on the left with a picnic table.

Hike Description:

Just past the boulders, there is a path heading towards the creek and a split.  Right goes to the upper section, which is the easy section.

Return to the split and go left to go steeply down to the creek.  You'll need to wade the creek to get a good view of the middle section.

On this side of the creek, you can reach the top of the lower section, but it's a tricky climb down wet rocks on river-right to get to the base.  There is a nice swim hole at the base of the lower section.
