Glen Ellis Falls (Pinkham Notch)

Glen Ellis Falls is a beautiful 66-foot waterfall on Ellis River in Coös County, New Hampshire.  The waterfall is located in the Androscoggin Ranger District in White Mountain National Forest near Pinkham Notch.

Directions:


From Gorham, head south on NH-16 for 11.2 miles and turn right into the parking for Glen Ellis Scenic Area.  The turn is 0.6 miles past the AMC Pinkham Notch Visitor Center.  Proceed to the parking area.  There is a nominal day-use fee to park here payable at self-serve kiosks.

Hike Description:


Pick up the Glen Ellis Falls and go under the highway then turn right to stay on the paved trail.  The trail passes some nice cascades as it approaches the top.


The trail then heads steeply down to the base of the waterfall.


There are more cascades just downstream.
