Black River Harbor Recreation Area is a forest recreation area in the Bessemer Ranger District of Ottawa National Forest. The area contains hiking trails, numerous waterfalls, a campground, and the only harbor in the forest. The Black River is a National Wild and Scenic River. Originating in Wisconsin, the river flows through Michigan and into Lake Superior, with many waterfalls along its length.

Gorge Falls:
Gorge Falls is a 25-foot waterfall on Black River that flows through a narrow gorge.
Potawatomi Falls:
Potawatomi is a spectacular waterfall on Black River just upstream of Gorge Falls.
