Tahquamenon Falls State Park

Tahquamenon Falls State Park is a 46,000-acre Michigan State Park in the Upper Peninsula in Chippewa and Luce Counties.  There are two waterfalls on Tahquamenon River in the park.  The Lower Falls consists of a number of cascades around an island in the river.  The Upper Falls, one of Michigan's most impressive, is a 50-foot drop that averages 50,000 gallons per second.  In addition to the waterfalls, there are miles of hiking trails and multiple campgrounds in this largely undeveloped park.
