Gooseberry Falls State Park is a 1,700-acre Minnesota State Park in Lake County. The Gateway to the North Shore, the park is home to waterfalls, Gooseberry River gorge and shoreline along Lake Superior. The park was authorized in 1933 and many of the park's facilities were built in the following years by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Today, the park has miles of trails through the river gorge and along the lake shoreline, picnic areas and campgrounds.

Directions:
From Duluth, head north on I-35 for about 2 miles and take exit 259 for MN-61 north towards the North Shore. Follow MN-61 for 37.3 miles and turn right into Gooseberry Falls State Park.

Fifth Falls is the highest upstream waterfall on Gooseberry River in the park.
Gooseberry Lower Falls:
The lowest drop of Gooseberry Falls is just below the Middle Falls.
Gooseberry Middle Falls:
The middle drop of Gooseberry Falls is just below the bridge on MN-61 over the river.
Gooseberry Upper Falls:
Upper Falls is a short ways upstream of the MN-61 bridge.
