Fred G. Bond Metro Park

Fred G. Bond Metro Park is a 310-acre park managed by the town of Cary.  It is one of the largest municipal parks in Wake County.  The park features a lake and boathouse, a challenge course, picnic shelters for rental and several miles of trails.  Additionally, the park acts as a hub for the Cary Greenway system, connecting Black Creek Greenway, White Oak Creek Greenway and Crabtree Creek Greenway and access to other parks and open spaces in the Research Triangle.

Black Creek Greenway


Black Creek Trail starts at the trail kiosk and heads east out of the park.

Crabtree Creek Greenway


Crabtree Creek Greenway splits from White Oak Creek Greenway and ends at the baseball fields, with plans to extend the greenway further out of the park.


East Coast Greenway


The East Coast Greenway is a proposed greenway trail stretching from Maine to Florida, with the section in North Carolina designated a State Trail.  In the park, the trail follows White Oak Creek and Black Creek Greenways.

Lake Trail


Lake Trail makes a 2-mile loop around the park's lake.


Oxxford Hunt Greenway


Oxxford Hunt Greenway splits from Black Creek Greenway and heads south out of the park.

Paw Paw Trail


Paw Paw Trail makes a 1-mile loop around the Community Center and northern part of the park.

Pine Cone Trail


Pine Cone Trail makes a 1.4-mile loop around the eastern section of the park.

White Oak Creek Greenway


White Oak Creek Greenway starts at the trail kiosk and heads west out of the park.
