The Divide Ranger District of
Rio Grande National Forest encompasses the western portion of the forest along the Continental Divide. The district includes the headwaters of the Rio Grande and parts of Weminuche and La Garita Wilderness areas. The towns of Creede, Del Norte, Monte Vista and South Fork are located within the district. Recreational opportunities in the district including camping, scenic driving, hunting, fishing, wildlife viewing, and hiking.
