Cullasaja Falls

Cullasaja Falls is a 200-foot waterfall on Cullasaja River in Macon County, North Carolina.  The waterfall is located in the Cullasaja Gorge in Nantahala National Forest between Highlands and Franklin.

Warnings: The pull-off is in a narrow curve on the highway.  Use caution pulling off and getting out.

Directions:


From Highlands, head west on US-64 for about 9.2 miles to a pull-off on the left.  It is safer to continue past the pull-out and turn around and approach from the west.

Hike Description:


There is a good view of the falls from the pull off on US-64.  I haven't made it to the base yet.
