Crawford Notch State Park

Crawford Notch State Park is a 5,775-acre New Hampshire State Park in the White Mountains.  Crawford Notch is a mountain pass west of Mount Washington.  The land for the park was acquired in 1913 to prevent excessive timber harvesting in the region.  Today, the park has camping, scenic driving, and numerous trails to mountain peaks and waterfalls, including part of the Appalachian Trail.

Arethusa Falls Trail:


This popular trail leads from the parking area along US-302 just under 1.5 miles up to the waterfall.


Bemis Brook Trail:


Bemis Brook Trail is a half-mile spur off Arethusa Falls Trail that leads to three small waterfalls on Bemis Brook.

Arethusa Falls is a 160-foot waterfall on Bemis Brook, one of the highest in New Hampshire.


Bemis Brook Falls:


Bemis Brook Falls is a scenic 20-foot waterfall at the upper end of Bemis Brook Trail.


Coliseum Falls:


Coliseum Falls is a really nice waterfall over countless rock ledges.


Fawn Pool:


Fawn Pool is a small cascading waterfall into a scenic pool.


Flume Cascade:


Flume Cascade is a roadside waterfall on a tributary of Saco River.


Silver Cascade:


Silver Cascade is a roadside waterfall along US-302.
