Hike Description:

From the parking area, continue up Arethusa Falls Road to the railroad tracks and go left to pick up Arethusa Falls Trail.  In 0.3 miles, bear right and head up where left leads to Bemis Brook Trail (see Bemis Brook Waterfalls for description).  The trail continues to ascend for another mile to the split with Ripley Falls Trail.  Go left and head down towards the base of Arethusa Falls.

The waterfall is very high, around 160 feet, but the stream is small up this far, so best to visit in the spring or after a heavy rain.

You can scramble around the rocks at the base to view the waterfall from different angles.
