Comanche Peak Wilderness

Comanche Peak Wilderness is a 66,791-acre wilderness in the Canyon Lakes Ranger District of Roosevelt National Forest.  The wilderness area borders the northeast corner of Rocky Mountain National Park.  The wilderness is named for the 12,702-foot Comanche Peak and was added to the wilderness system in 1980.  There are many miles of trails through the wilderness with opportunities for hiking and backpack camping.

Fox Creek Falls is accessed from the North Boundary Trail starting in Rocky Mountain National Park.
