Barnett Branch Trail Falls

Barnett Branch Trail Falls is a waterfall on a tributary of Barnett Branch in Transylvania County, North Carolina.  The waterfall is located in Pisgah National Forest near the Cradle of Forestry.

Directions:


From Brevard, head east on US-276/US-64 to where they split and turn left to stay on US-276.  Drive north for 11.7 miles and turn right on Forest Road 1206/Yellow Gap Road.  Go 1.2 miles to a small parking area on the left.

Hike Description:


Hike up the road a short ways and turn left on Barnett Branch Trail (#618).  Head up just over a quarter-mile and the waterfall is just off the trail at a switchback.  It's on a small stream so best to visit after a good rain.
