Wintergreen Falls (DuPont)

Wintergreen Falls is a 20-foot waterfall on Grassy Creek in Henderson County, North Carolina.  The waterfall is located in DuPont State Forest.

Directions:


From Brevard, head east on US-64 for about 3.5 miles and turn right on Crab Creek Road.  Go 4.3 miles and turn right on DuPont Road and then turn right on Sky Valley Road in 0.8 miles.  Drive 1.6 miles, with the road changing to gravel, and turn right into the large Guion Farm Access parking.

Hike Description:


From the south end of the parking area, follow Tarkiln Branch Road for about 1 mile to an intersection with Wintergreen Falls Trail.  Turn left and follow for about half a mile to a bike rack.  The last 0.1-mile section of the trail is a little tricky from here to reach the base of Wintergreen Falls.
