Salem Lake (Winston-Salem)

Salem Lake is a Winston-Salem park around the 365-acre manmade lake on Salem Creek, located just southeast of downtown.  A 7-mile multi-use greenway trail for walking, running, bicycling and horseback riding surrounds the lake with numerous scenic views and connections to other greenway trails.  The park has a marina near the dam and playground.  Fishing is only permitted from the pier and boats, no bank fishing.

Salem Lake Trail makes a 7-mile loop around the lake with numerous scenic spots.

Wildlife:

Turkey tail (Trametes versicolor)
