Rattlesnake Falls (Needmore)

Rattlesnake Falls is a 20-foot waterfall on Rattlesnake Creek above the confluence with Little Tennessee River in Swain County, North Carolina.  The waterfall is located in Needmore Game Land.

Directions:


From Bryson City, head west on US-74 for about 8 miles and turn left on Needmore Road.  Go 5.6 miles and turn right on Big Dog Road, a narrow gravel road.  Drive 0.25 miles and pull off on the right at the top of the waterfall.  There is only room for 1 vehicle.

Hike Description:


The top of the waterfall is easily visible, but I didn't see a reasonable way down and it didn't seem worth it to try.
