Needmore Game Land

Needmore Game Land is a 5,225-acre North Carolina Game Land surrounding the Little Tennessee River in Macon and Swain County.  The main portion of the game land surrounds the river along NC-28 along the county line.  There is another smaller section south of Franklin east of US-441.  The Game Land was established in 2004 between the state and Mainspring Conservation Trust and has since grown to its present size.  The primary activities in the area are hunting and fishing but there are also opportunities for hiking and nature viewing.
