North McCullough Wilderness

North McCullough Wilderness is a 14,789-acre Wilderness Area in Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area in Clark County, Nevada.  Less than 30 miles south of Las Vegas, the wilderness protects the northern portion of the McCullough Range with elevations ranging from 3,000 to 5,000 feet.  The mountains are volcanic in origin and basalt flows and lava flows can be found.  In addition to natural beauty, the wilderness also protects a large collection of petroglyphs and rock art.  The Petroglyph Management Area is day-use only.  Please do not touch or climb on the petroglyphs.
