Segment 13 of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail runs for 38.9 miles through Bladen County past several Carolina Bay Lakes. This segment includes about 25 miles on paved roads, 12 miles on gravel roads and 2 miles on trails.
Route:
The eastern trailhead is in Suggs Mill Pond Game Land and follows gravel roads through the area and then paved roads to the town of White Oak.
Harmony Hall is a pre-Revolutionary War era home and additional historical buildings are on the ground.
The trail continues to follow paved roads to Bladen Lakes State Forest. The trail passes Jones Lake State Park and Turnbull Creek Educational State Forest.
Back on paved roads, the trail passes around the resort town of White Lake. The trail follows a sandy road through the Singletary Track of Bladen Lakes State Forest.
The last mile of trail enters Singletary Lake State Park and ends at the eastern trailhead for Segment 13 at the park office.
