Mount Everett State Reservation is a 2,500-acre Massachusetts State Reservation in Berkshire County in the towns of Mount Washington and Sheffield. The reservation was established in 1908 to purchase land surrounding Mount Everett for preservation. The park's highlight is the 2,624-foot Mount Everett with panoramic views over three states. There are several hiking trails to access the mountain as well Guilder Pond, the second highest pond in Massachusetts. The Appalachian Trail also crosses the reservation.

Lower Race Brook Falls is a 100-foot waterfall accessed from a spur off Race Brook Trail.

I think this is an amethyst deceiver (Laccaria amethystina)
