Miners Falls (Pictured Rocks)

Miners Falls is a 50-foot waterfall on Miners River in Alger County, Michigan. The waterfall is located in Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.

Directions:


From Munising, head east on Munising Avenue/County Road H-58 for about 5 miles and turn left on Miners Castle Road.  Drive 3.7 miles and turn right on gravel Miners Falls Road.  Follow 0.5 miles to a parking area at the end.

Hike Description:


From the parking area, follow the Miners Falls Trail.  In just over a half-mile, the trail ends at stairs that lead down to an overlook for the falls.


It is possible to climb down to the base from here for a close view of the falls.
