Lower Poe Creek Falls (Keowee)

Lower Poe Creek Falls is a 10-foot waterfall on its namesake in Pickens County, South Carolina.  The waterfall is located in Keowee-Toxaway State Park.

Directions:


From Pickens, head west on SC-183 for about 1 mile and turn right on Shady Grove Road.  Drive 7.8 miles and turn right on SC-133/Crowe Creek Road.  Go 3.3 miles and turn left on SC-11, then right into the park.  Make the first right and park at Visitor Center.

Hike Description:


Pick up the Natural Bridge Trail from the far end of the parking lot and come to a split in less than 0.1 miles.  Go right and gradually head down for just over a quarter-mile.  There is an obvious path on the left that leads a short ways to a view of the falls.
