The London Ranger District of Daniel Boone National Forest encompasses 208,044 acres of forest across eight counties in eastern Kentucky. The district is best known for Laurel River Lake, a 5,600-acre lake with numerous recreation opportunities. Two state Wild Rivers, Cumberland and Rockcastle, flow through the district. Additionally, there are many hiking trails through the district, including the Sheltowee Trace Trail.
