Laurel Run Park (Hawkins)

Laurel Run Park is a 440-acre Hawkins County Park west of Kingsport along the Holston River.  The park was the setting of the 1984 film The River and the land was transferred to Hawkins County after filming to create a park.  Today, the park has several picnic shelters, river access for fishing and hiking trails that lead to waterfalls and connect with Bays Mountain Park.
