Kaaterskill Wild Forest

Kaaterskill Wild Forest is a 7,620-acre unit of Catskill Park in Greene and Ulster County in the northeast of the Forest Preserve.  The forest is a popular recreation area with many hiking trails, including sections of the Long Path and provides access to Kaaterskill Falls.  Dispersed camping is permitted in the forest and the North-South Lake Campground is adjacent to the forest.  In winter, trails are available for skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling.
