Catskill Park

Catskill Park is a New York Forest Preserve covering an area of 700,000 total acres (the Blue Line) with approximately 287,000 acres publicly owned.  The Forest Preserves were established in the early 19th century to forever protect the mountain forests.  Catskill Park includes land in four counties surrounding the Catskill Mountains.  There are numerous developed campgrounds, backcountry camping, skiing, fishing, hunting and hundreds of miles of hiking trails.

Kaaterskill Wild Forest:


Kaaterskill Wild Forest is located in the northeast of the park and is home to the 230-foot Kaaterskill Falls.
