Jackson Falls (Shawnee)

Jackson Falls is a seasonal waterfall on a tributary of Little Bay Creek in Pope County. The waterfall is located the Hidden Springs Ranger District of Shawnee National Forest.

Warnings: The rocks around waterfalls are very slippery.  The hike only goes to the top of the waterfall.

Directions:


From Harrisburg, go south on US-45 for about 21 miles and turn left on Ozark Road.  Drive 1.9 miles and turn right to stay on Ozark Road.  In 2.7 miles, turn left to stay on Ozark Road then an immediate right on Glen Street Falls Road.  Go 1.9 miles and the parking area will be on the right.

Hike Description:


The trail begins beyond the parking area and leads about 0.1 miles to the top of waterfall.


It looked difficult to get to the base and it was dry when we visited, so didn't bother.
