Directions:

The waterfall is located right along US-221 on the Caldwell-Watauga County line.  From Blowing Rock, head south on US-221/Yonahlossee Road for about 8 miles.  There is a pull-off on the side of the road to park, or parking is available at the Asutsi Trailhead parking a couple hundred feet north on US-221.

Hike Description:

The waterfall is visible from the road, so no hike to see this one.  It's pretty high up, so the waterfall looks best in high water.  In the winter, icicles on the waterfall make a really beautiful scene.

Green Mountain Creek continues dropping below US-221.  The lower drop is visible from the road, but I think it's private property so can't scramble down for a closer look.

Here's another picture during fall.
