The Glenwood and Pedlar Ranger District is located on the Blue Ridge Escarpment between Roanoke and Charlottesville,
Virginia. The district includes land in Amherst, Augusta, Bedford, Botetourt, Nelson, and Rockbridge Counties. The combined district includes the Glenwood Ranger District of
Jefferson National Forest and the Pedlar Ranger District of George Washington National Forest. The district office is located in Natural Bridge Station. This district contains numerous camping and day use recreation areas and miles of trails, including the Appalachian Trail.
