First State National Historical Park

First State National Historical Park is a National Park Unit located in northern Delaware and a small portion of Pennsylvania.  The park consists of six units that demonstrate the colonial history of Delaware and the role it played in the establishment of the United States.  First State was established by President Obama as First State National Monument on March 2015, 2013 as the 400th National Park Unit and was re-designated as a National Historical Park by Congress in 2015.

Trails:


Brandywine Trail:


Brandywine Trail is a 2.9-mile multi-use trail that follows Brandywine Creek through the Beaver Valley Unit and into Brandywine Creek State Park.


Creekside Trail:


Creekside Trail is a 2.4-mile trail that follows Brandywine Creek closely, roughly parallel to Brandywine Trail.
