C. C. Putnam State Forest

C. C. Putnam State Forest is a 13,633-acre Vermont State Forest covering nine miles along the Worcester Mountains in Lamoille and Washington County.  It is the fifth largest state forest in Vermont with elevations ranging from 500 to 3,642 feet above sea level.  The forest has many miles of hiking trails leading to several mountain peaks.  Additionally, there are two designated Natural Areas in the forest - Worcester Range Natural Area and Moss Glen Falls Natural Area.

Moss Glen Falls is a gorgeous waterfall located in the forest near Stowe.


Wildlife:


Lots of wildflowers can be found blooming in the forest throughout part of the year.
