Buttermilk Falls State Park

Buttermilk Falls State Park is a 800-acre New York State Park in Tomkins County just outside Ithaca.  Buttermilk Falls and Creek were named for the frothy waters tumbling down towards Lake Cayuga.  Part of the land for the park was donated to the state in 1924 by Robert and Laura Tremen.  Today, the park has a campground, a small lake, picnic areas and numerous trails along the Buttermilk Creek gorge.
