Bash Bish Falls State Park

Bash Bish Falls is a 1,100-acre Massachusetts State Park in Berkshire County.  The park is bordered by Mount Washington State Forest and Taconic State Park in New York.  The highlight of the park is Bash Bish Falls, one of the largest waterfalls in Massachusetts with a final plunge of 80 feet.  The falls can be accessed via trails from a parking area on MA-41 in Massachusetts or from Taconic State Park in New York.  Swimming or entering the water is prohibited as of 2021 and barricades prevent access to the waterfall viewing platform in the summer.

Directions:


From Great Barrington, head south on MA-23 west/MA-41 south for about 4 miles and turn left to stay on MA-41 south.  Immediately bear right on Mount Washington Road and go 4.4 miles then turn left on East Street.  Continue 0.8 miles and turn right on West Street and in 0.3 miles, turn left to stay on West Street.  Drive 1.2 miles and turn right on Falls Road.  Go 1.4 miles and the parking is on the left.
