Bardwell Lake

Bardwell Lake is a 3,500-acre lake in Ellis County near Ennis, Texas.  The lake was constucted and is managed by the Fort Worth District of the Army Corps of Engineers.  The primary use of the lake is for flood control, but water-based recreation is also permitted.  The Corps has a number of park areas around the lake open to the public for fishing, swimming, boating, camping and other recreation.

Meadow View Nature Area:


Meadow View Nature Area is an open meadow that is a prime spot for wildflower viewing in the spring.  It is only open to vehicle access during the month of April.
