Triangle Land Conservancy



Nature Preserves:


Triangle Land Conservancy currently has seven preserves that are open to the public during daylight hours for low-impact outdoor recreation such as running, hiking, birding and photography.

Bailey and Sarah Williamson Preserve:


Bailey and Sarah Williamson Preserve is located in Wake and Johnston County and has a working farm in addition to nature trails open to hiking and mountain biking.


George and Julia Brumley Family Nature Preserve:


Brumley Nature Preserve is in Orange County between Chapel Hill and has more than 10 miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking.


Flower Hill Nature Preserve:


Flower Hill Nature Preserve in eastern Johnston County protects an unusual population of rhododendron growing far from the mountains.


Horton Grove Nature Preserve:


Horton Grove Nature Preserve is located at the historical Stagville Plantation north of Durham.


Johnston Mill Nature Preserve:


Johnston Mill Nature Preserve protects a section of New Hope Creek in Orange County.


Swift Creek Bluffs Nature Preserve:


Swift Creek Bluffs Nature Preserve protects a section of Swift Creek right in Cary that has remarkably steep bluffs.


White Pines Nature Preserve:


White Pines Nature Preserve protects a north-facing bluff at the confluence of the Deep and Rocky Rivers with an unusual population of white pines.
