Stepstone Falls (Arcadia)

Stepstone Falls is a 10-foot waterfall on Wood River in Kent County, Rhode Island.  The waterfall is located in Arcadia Management Area.

Directions:


From Providence, go south on I-95 for about 25 miles and take exit 5A.  Go south on RI-102 for 0.8 miles and turn right on RI-3 south.  In 1.3 miles, turn right on RI-165 west   Drive 5.2 miles and turn right on Escoheag Hill Road.  Go 2.4 miles and turn right on gravel Falls River Road.  Follow this road for 0.6 miles to parking on the right just before the bridge over Wood River.

Hike Description:


From the parking area, follow the obvious path downstream a hundred feet or so to the waterfall.  It consists of several drops totaling about 10 feet.


There are a bunch of ledges the waterfall tumbles down over.  Although it's small, I thought it was quite scenic.
