Richardson-Taylor Preserve

Richardson-Taylor Preserve is a Guildford County Park in Greensboro north of Lake Townsend.  Established in 2015, the park features over four mile of hiking trails through scenic forests and wetlands.  The Bill Craft Trail leads across the preserve, connecting the parking areas on Plainfield Road and Simpson-Calhoun Road.  A connector trail leads to Reedy Fork Trail at Lake Townsend, part of Greensboro Watershed Trails.

Bill Craft Trail:


Bill Craft Trail leads for over 3 miles across the preserve, connecting the north and south trailheads and runs concurrently with Wetland Loop for the first 1/2 mile.


Wetlands Loop:


Wetlands Loop makes a 1.2-mile loop from the main parking area on Plainfield Road, passing an overlook of the wetlands on Long Branch.
