Quechee State Park

Quechee State Park is a 612-acre Vermont State Park centered on Quechee Gorge in Windsor County.  The land that is now the park was originally owned by A. G. Dewey Company, major wool manufacturer in the 19th century.  The mill closed in 1952 and the land was purchased by the Army Corps of Engineers for flood control.  In 1965, the state leased the land from the Army Corps of Engineers to establish a state park.  Today, the park has a developed campground and a scenic hiking trail leading along the gorge.
