New River Trail is a rail trail stretching over 50 miles along the New River from Galax to Pulaski.

Points of Interest:

Jackson Ferry Shot Tower

Jackson Ferry Shot Tower is a 19th century shot tower that was used to manufacture ammunition.  Today, it is protected as Shot Tower Historical State Park and provides access to New River Trail.
