Mud Creek Falls (Sky Valley)

Mud Creek Falls is a 75-foot waterfall on its namesake in Rabun County, Georgia.  The waterfall is located in the town of Sky Valley.

Directions:


From Clayton, head north on US-23/US-441 for 7.6 miles and turn right on GA-246 west.  The road will cross into North Carolina and back into Georgia.  The third time it crosses into North Carolina, it changes to NC-106.  In 0.3 miles from the state line, turn right on Old Mud Creek Road which crosses back into Georgia.  In 1.0 mile, turn right on Sky Valley Way.  Go 0.5 miles and turn right on Tahoe Lane.  Parking is on the left in 0.6 miles.

Hike Description:


From the parking area, descend on the path to the falls.


Mud Creek Trail starts here and follows the creek 1 mile to Sky Valley Overlook.
