The City of Morganton, North Carolina has a small but growing greenway system throughout town. The greenway system is composed of nearly five miles of paved trails, mostly along the Upper Catawba River. Along the trail system are picnic areas, playgrounds, parks and access to amenities. Catawba River Trail is part of the Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail.
