Michilmackinac State Park

Michilmackinac State Park is Michigan's second state park, having been established in 1909.  The park is located in the northermost part of Michigan's lower peninsula on the Straights of Mackinac in Cheboygan and Emmett Counties.  The park provides beach access along the Straights of Mackinac between Lake Michigan and Lake Huron, great views of the bridge, a historic lighthouse and Colonial Michilmackinac, a restored 16th century French fort.  The park is free to visit, but admission is charged to enter the lighthouse and Colonial Michilmackinac grounds.
