Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park

Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park is a 550-acre National Park unit in Windsor County, Vermont near Woodstock.  The park is named for three former owners of the land - George Perkins Marsh, an early conservationist and author of Man and Nature, Frederick Billings who established a dairy farm on the land, and Mary French & Laurance Rockefeller, who donated the land to the government.  The park was established on August 26, 1992 by President Bush.  Today, the park features a historic mansion and miles of carriage roads through the re-established forest.
