Marion Sansom Park

Marion Sansom Park is a 260-acre Fort Worth Park on Lake Worth and West Fork Trinity River.  Marion Sansom was a banker and rancher in the late 19th century who purchased 7,000 acres of land for a cattle ranch.  The park protects a portion of what's left of that ranch.  The Inspiration Point Picnic Shelter was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1920s.  Today, there are more than 10 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails along the lake and river.
